Swimming Specific Yoga
Swimming Specific Yoga programs are designed to assist swimmers of all levels develop physical and mental characteristics that lead to success in and out of the water.
After incorporating yoga with my athletes during a 20-year swim-coaching career I saw incredible results in both their performance and their wellness. That impact was one of the reasons I decided to combine two of my greatest passions - swimming and yoga.
In the last four years after becoming a 500 hour certified yoga teacher and therapist I have worked with 100s of swimmers from 7 years old to Olympic athletes incorporating Swimming Specific Yoga into their training regime.
This website has been created to share yoga for swimmers classes and information which will enhance your performance in the water and wellness outside of it.
We are currently revamping many of our online services. While we are in this process we will be continuing to offer team and individualized programs.
Team programs are designed in co-operation with individual coaches to ensure the yoga practices compliment the athletes core training plan.
Individual programs include Skype consultation and teaching sessions, customized video classes based on the individual's strengths, weaknesses and goals, unlimited email contact and a monthly subscription.
I am also extremely excited to let you know that 5% of the revenue from our online services will be donated to the Student-Athlete Mental Health Initiative, which is a Canadian organization that provides support for student-athletes dealing with mental health challenges.
