Frog pose is a very effective way for swimmers and multi-sport athletes to improve their hip mobility. Frog pose targets the hip adductors, a part of the body where swimmers and triathletes can experience a lot of stiffness.
This pose can be held anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes. When doing this pose, like any other pose, make sure you are working with your individual range of motion and not forcing yourself into the pose.
Half frog, which is an easier variation of frog, is described towards the end of this blog.
